My Political Philosophy exposed!

Ad Valorem Taxes are Immoral

If there is a Q&A this Saturday, an old Guy in the audience might ask:

Candidates, I believe Ad Valorem Property Taxes are IMMORAL. PROPERTY TAXES BASED ON VALUE AND NOT SIMPLY FEE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CITY OR COUNTY ARE UNEVENLY DISTRIBUTED. TAXES SHOULD BE BASED ON ‘FEES FOR SERVICES’ AND SHOULD BE PAID EQUALLY BY EVERY RESIDENT, THAT'S THE ONLY FAIR AND MORAL WAY TO TAX PROPERTY!

DO YOU AGREE?

Ad Valorem Property Taxes are Immoral!.

My argument:

Bob and Alice are neighbors. They bought similar houses about the same time. Alice is meticulous and keeps her house pressure washed and in good repair. She even added solar panels and landscaped her yard. Bob likes his Willie Drink and isn't as responsible as Alice. Alice even saw a fawn the other morning hiding in the knee high grass in Bob's yard, until a section of gutter fell off and scared the little fawn back to her Mom.

When the TAX PERSON COMETH (play up the person versus man) (laugh line) to assess Bob and Alice’s property in that dreaded REASSESSMENT YEAR!.

The TAX PERSON congratulates Alice for her good stewardship of her property with the HIGHEST PROPERTY VALUATION in her neighborhood. But, TAX PERSON, (that's 3 times so that joke might be played out!) SCORNS at Bob's DELAPITED property and punishes him with the LOWEST PROPERTY VALUATION in the entire COUNTY. In September, Bob goes through his stack of unopened mail piled up at his feet to his glee and finds HIS TAX BILL WENT DOWN!.

And he takes another sip of Willie’s finest with a great big smile!

In times past, in Charleston for example, TAXES were assessed by FRONT FEET. Say your property was 50 feet wide, your property required 50 feet of sidewalks and streets plus your contribution to the City Treasury. So that was fair way to TAX PROPERTY, based on FEE FOR SERVICE,

Did you ever wonder why the lots in Charleston are long and narrow? No one wanted to pay the PROPERTY TAXES. And hence the Singleton Charleston House was born!.

And later when utilities came into existence, gas lines for instance, you paid a fee to tap in and paid for USAGE. The same for electricity, water, sewer etc.

Now I hear those that will ask, well if you improve your raw land, doesn't the value go up, and doesn't the County have a right to reevaluate your property for TAX purposes? I ASK WHY? Has the property required more road frontage or more services than it had before I improved it? If the County extended roads or water lines or sewer then yes you can make that argument. But with all services the same WHY SHOULD I PAY HIGHER TAXES BASED on VALUATION?

The VALUE OF MY PROPERTY now is only what a WILLING and ABLE BUYER, and a WILLING and ABLE SELLER AGREES is the VALUE.

So if I haven't convinced you that Ad Valorem Properly Taxes are UNFAIR even IMMORAL, at least let me close with this thought: if you must support Ad Valorem Property Taxes

the TAX MAN should only ASSESS TAXES WHEN THE PROPERTY EXCHANGES HANDS!

BETTER YET IS PROPERTY TAX BASED ON FEE FOR SERVICE!

THAT IS THE ONLY MORAL WAY TO A

SSESS PROPERTY TAXES!

Evil Nationalists?

I had a talk with my 16 year old Granddaughter Syna after I picked her up from school today to take her to the farm to ride her horses....

She doesn't do Facebook or Twitter...her generation does TicToc which has a hell of a lot of more explicit content than either of those others.

As my usual,  I asked what happened in school today...She said her ELA (English Lit) Teacher lectured today about the evils of Nationalism while they watched, ' All Quiet on the Western Front'...

I was quick to make sure that she knew that that is Leftist's  'code speak' (aka propaganda) to disparage anyone who loves their Country! That she understood that Leftists Democrats are open borders,  no Country Globalists,  who believe you must be a 'Citizen of the World' NOT a citizen of  any Country!

At first I thought she had been indoctrinated, but then we passed a farm house that had an American flag flying on a flagpole and I asked her, does that person love our country to fly a flag? She nodded that she agreed...and I told her that person is an American Nationalist, is it evil that he flies an American Flag?

Or what about all those People who are flying flags from the backs of their pickup trucks (everywhere around here and especially at her Southern rural High School)  are they "Evil Nationalists"?

And just like that she understood that today she was being propagandized by that teacher!

I think she was upset with me for pointing that out, but then I think she was just angry!

There is hope for our newest generation of Freedom Loving Patriots!

10 Take Aways from AZ Audit

Ten Takeaways From the Maricopa Audit Report

1

The report given to the Arizona Senate by auditors is not complete. The examination of kinematic artifact on ballots is not finished. In addition, splunk logs, routers and other items have yet to be examined. An agreement between the County and the Senate will make those items available. When the examination is complete, additional reports will be given to the Senate.

As mentioned in the July 15, 2021, Arizona Senate hearing, ballot calibration was off by an average of 1000% leading to bleed-through, which can cause over-votes or inaccurate vote attribution. The County has stated that they use thick VoteSecure paper, which should limit bleed-through. However, the Cyber Ninjas team said in July they had found a large number of ballots printed on very thin paper stock. The ballots printed on-demand at the voting centers on election day had the worst calibrations issues. At that time, it was reported that more than 168K ballots were affected.

The issue with thin ballot paper and bleed through is that it often causes ballots to be rejected by tabulation machines. When a ballot is rejected, it's sent to adjudication.

When a ballot is sent to adjudication, a human must decide the intent of the voter. The one performing adjudication has an opportunity to negate the voter's intended selections.

In Maricopa County, approximately 200,000 ballots (11%) were sent to adjudication in the 2020 election.

Many of the Maricopa County ballots were printed by Runbeck. The company's CEO initially agreed to answer questions about ballot printing discrepancies, but later, he said he was instructed by Maricopa County not to talk to auditors.

3

According to the audit report, 255,326 early vote ballots were received from Maricopa County voters who were not found in the EV33 file.

The importance of this finding is that it's a violation of state law to send out an early vote ballot to a voter who has not requested one. Once a voter has requested an early ballot, their name should appear in the EV33 file.

Why were more than 255,000 early vote ballots sent to people who (apparently) did not request them?

Ten different types of paper were used to print ballots in Maricopa County for the 2020 election including 20 and 30 lb paper. The recommended weight of paper is 80 lb. It is unknown what effect this may have had since logic and accuracy tests are not performed with paper of this type.

5

The Arizona Senate subpoena required Maricopa County to turn over to auditors all provisional ballots that were not used and those that were cast by voters but rejected for some reason. These ballots were never turned over for inspection.

Auditors do not know if any unused provisional ballots were diverted.

There is no way to know how many provisional ballots (cast in person by same-day voters) were rejected, or why they were rejected.

(A large percentage of same-day in-person voters were Trump supporters.)

Ballots returned to the County as undeliverable were supposed to be turned over to auditors. They were never received, which makes one wonder if any of those ballots were illegally diverted.

6

To prevent a voter from voting twice, any voter who shows up at a voting center on the day of the election to vote in person who has received a ballot by mail must be issued a provisional ballot.

More than 58,000 voters who should have received provisional ballots received standard ballots instead. There is no statutory authority that allows this.

7

The Senate subpoena required Maricopa County to allow auditors access to the voter registration system. The County refused access to auditors.

In December 2020, a hack of the database was investigated by the FBI. Auditors requested access to the database to learn more about the intrusion but the County claimed the intruder only accessed publicly available data.

8

On February 2nd, 2021, the night before Maricopa County's auditors (Pro V&V and SLI) were to begin their audit, the entire election database was purged.

9

Pro V&V and SLI didn't mention in their audit reports the deletion of ballot images, election database files, results files, or log files.

10

More than 263,000 ballot images that were provided to auditors were too corrupted to be read.

Of the 1.3 million images of ballots scanned prior to November 1st, no images were corrupted. After November 1st, approximately half the scanned images were corrupted.

No explanation has been given as to why or how the images were corrupted. Replacement images were requested but Maricopa County has not provided them.
